BRAND-LED FULL FURNISHINGS INTERIOR DESIGN IN THALWIL ZÜRICH

The Étaudoré Home

251012-5-3.jpg

A full furnishings project developed for the founder of a furniture brand, transforming a rental apartment in Thalwil into both a welcoming private residence and a refined showroom environment. The space was designed to feel cohesive and inviting, while allowing the furniture collection to be presented naturally within an authentic lived-in setting.

THE DESIGN BRIEF

The project required the exclusive specification of furniture from the client’s own brand, demanding careful spatial composition and tonal balance throughout. Working within a rental property with fixed architectural elements and a dominant flooring tone, the design approach focused on harmonising existing conditions while ensuring the collection could be displayed fluidly within a residential context.

PROJECT SCOPE

OPEN PLAN LIVING · DINING · HOME OFFICE

She captured not only my individual taste but also the essence of Étaudore.”

Brand presentation within a residential context

The living room was conceived as the primary setting for the Étaudoré collection, allowing the furniture to be experienced within an authentic residential narrative rather than a traditional showroom format.
By integrating the brand’s pieces into a layered environment of textiles, art, and lighting, we created a space that balances commercial clarity with domestic warmth and functionality.

MASTER BEDROOM

We designed the bedroom as a calm, layered retreat defined by clarity and texture, that means we wanted to keep the space decluttered.
While keeping the layout intentionally minimal, we integrated practical storage through a wardrobe and an antique commode, complemented by both table and floor reading lights. Soft pastel linens introduce warmth, while custom reading cushions in Holly Hunt fabric and a hand-knotted cotton rug add subtle pattern. Oak, linen and jute ground the space in natural balance.

YOUNG LADY'S BEDROOM

We approached this 15 m² bedroom as a “home within the home,” carefully defining multiple functional zones within a compact footprint.
The layout integrates a dressing and social corner, a sleeping and day-dreaming area generous enough for sleepovers, a homework and creativity station with ample storage, and a dedicated reading nook.
Throughout, we prioritised flexibility, ensuring the design can evolve seamlessly through the coming teenage years and shifting needs.

As the founder of ÉTAUDORÉ, an artisan furniture brand, I had the pleasure of working with Analía from Spaces for Life Interiors on the design of our live-in showroom in Thalwil.

Analía is an exceptionally skilled and empathetic designer. She developed the full design concept from a blank canvas and guided us through every detail — from recommending ÉTAUDORÉ furniture pieces to selecting wall colours, rugs, curtains, lighting and decorative elements — bringing everything together into a harmonious and refined whole.

Her attention to detail, sense of harmony and creative vision elevated the entire space. I wholeheartedly recommend Analía and the team at Spaces for Life Interiors to anyone looking for thoughtful, professional and highly talented interior design services.
